The Nantong–Ningbo High-Speed Railway originates from Nantong West Station on the Yancheng–Nantong High-Speed Railway. It runs through Zhangjiagang, Changshu and Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, as well as Jiaxing and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province, and terminates at Ningbo Station of Ningbo Railway Hub, with a total length of approximately 309.8 kilometers.
The station front works feature a long route, huge steel bar demand and tight construction schedule, which poses great challenges to traditional processing methods. In this context, the strengths of intelligent steel processing equipment have been fully demonstrated.
Adopting a CNC servo system, the steel bar sawing, threading & grinding production line keeps the cutting length error within ±1 mm. The processed threads are neat, full and well-fitted, and the ground bar ends are smooth and burr-free, fully complying with the stringent construction standards for high-speed railway projects.
The supporting reinforcing cage welding station can automatically position main bar spacing and stirrup radian. All welding spots are uniform and solid. The compliance rate of cage roundness, verticality and dimensional accuracy reaches 100%. It eliminates errors caused by manual welding and guarantees the bearing capacity and structural stability of reinforcing cages.
On average, one complete production line can process dozens of tons of steel bars for sawing and threading every day. Meanwhile, the reinforcing cage welding station realizes fully automatic welding and forming. The overall production capacity is more than three times higher than that of the traditional mode combining manual work and single machines.
Capable of stable 24-hour continuous operation, the equipment can endure heavy construction workloads. It ensures sufficient steel supply during peak construction phases, prevents schedule delays and drives the project forward efficiently.
The successful application of this set of intelligent equipment on the Nantong–Ningbo High-Speed Railway has further proven the outstanding performance of high-precision automatic steel processing machinery in long-distance and large-scale rail transit projects.
