Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway Deploys Intelligent Steel Processing System

The Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway stretches across Fujian and Guangdong Provinces and acts as an essential part of the coastal corridor within China’s national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail backbone network. Starting from Zhangzhou Station on the Fuzhou-Xiamen High-Speed Railway, the route runs through Zhangzhou in Fujian, Chaozhou and Shantou in Guangdong, and terminates at Shantou Station. The total line length is approximately 175 kilometers with a designed operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour. As a key national cross-sea high-speed rail trunk line, the project has put forward extremely strict requirements on steel processing precision, production capacity and finished component quality.

To adapt to the long construction cycle, large production volume and high compliance standards of the project, the construction site adopted the combined operation of Reinforcing Cage Welding Station and Integrated Steel Bar Sawing, Threading and Grinding Production Line, realizing full-process intelligent, standardized and integrated steel processing. This solution abandons the drawbacks of traditional separate operation of individual machines. The two sets of equipment are seamlessly connected and work in perfect coordination.

Raw steel bars are first processed by the integrated production line to complete fixed-length precision cutting, rib stripping, threading and end surface grinding. The finished steel materials are then directly delivered to the reinforcing cage welding station for main bar layout, stirrup welding and cage forming. No secondary manual handling or repeated parameter adjustment is required throughout the whole process.

This integrated solution cuts down material waste and labor input, and eliminates delays caused by disjointed working procedures. It maintains a steady and continuous construction progress for station front works and greatly boosts overall processing capacity.

The successful application of this intelligent equipment combination in the Zhangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway fully demonstrates the superior performance of integrated steel processing lines in high-end rail transit projects. It also creates a proven and replicable intelligent construction model for other high-standard high-speed railway projects nationwide.
